MY PRIORITIES & WHAT’S TO COME

HOMELSSNESS & HOUSING

Since my initial election to city council in 2009, housing, and homelessness has been a core priority. Collaborating with various agencies we have significantly reduced our unhoused population from 277 to 152 in 2023. The partner agencies such as

LACADA, LAHSA, PATH, and St. Margaret's Center for local outreach and Telehealth Van for personal clinical consulting and therapy sessions to help address mental and behavioral health challenges have all been instrumental. I am committed to helping our residents and our veterans to live decent and fulfilled lives

PUBLIC SAFTY

Public safety is critical for our community’s well-being. I work closely with our police, public works, code enforcement, and building and safety departments to enhance community safety.

I actively seek grants and draft effective legislation that provides for our city departments’ needs and police with the latest technology in addressing 911 calls with the use of drones and air support enforcement. I have also advocated for neighborhood safety with community policing, an initiative that provides for positive change through community police engagement.
